ABOUT THE LLANO ESTACADO
For several years I have been documenting the landscapes of the Llano Estacado and its surrounding area. This region was once explored and colonized by the Spaniard explorer, Francisco Vazquez de Coronado. Coronado established some of the first European cities in North America. My work documents theoretical paths taken by the Conquistadors searching for the mythical city of gold. I contrast the old and new by documenting the landscape with contemporary cities and industries now populating this arid and semi-arid area.
